Firstly, I'm going to wash my hair with my tresemme moisture rich shampoo. I love the feel of this shampoo, it makes me hair feel really soft, shiny and luxurious! *Be warned-clichéd statement ahead* It really does feel like you've "just stepped out of the salon"!
I then moisturise with the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush body wash. I won't bore you, because I bet you've heard it all before, but this really smells divine and makes your body feel really moisturised, and has locked in my holiday tan for 3 months!
Before I dry my hair I'm using my Paul Mitchell extra body Root Lifter which gives it an extra oomph!
Next I'm going to do my makeup!
Firstly I'm going to conceal under my eyes with my Chanel Lift Lumiere under-eye concealer. This was actually my Mum's, but I "borrowed" it. 3 months ago. Whoops. I just apply this under my eyes with my fingers in a dabbing motion!
For the rest of my face I'm going to use my "Do The Bright Thing" box by benefit
I love this so much, it makes your face really bright and pretty!
Firstly I'm going to dab "That Gal" all over my face to even out my skin-tone and add a pinkly finish!
I'm then going to sweep "dandelion" over my cheeks, which adds to the pink-y tone of the face!
Next I'm blending "High beam" at the top of my cheekbones and on my brow-bone.
Then I'm going to fill in and shape my brows with my Maybelline mastershape pencil and brush!
I'm then going to apply liberal coats of my favourite mascara benefit's BADgal lash!
Look at the brush, haha!
I'm going to dab a mixture of my oldest make-up product, my benefit duo in "Zone Out"...
... and "Almost Famous"
which is a really nice nude-y combination!
Now onto hair!
I'm going to warm some VO5 "give me texture" wax in my hands and then muss it about in my hair...
... and then seal it in with the classic L'Oreal Elnett hairspray!
I'm then going to apply my "imPress Broadway" nails in "Lovestruck"!
They are so easy to apply and it's Sunday now and they're still going strong!
At this point I then got into my dress, which is from H&M and was £19.99 (it wasn't as sheer as in the picture!)
I also packed my cute little neon pink satchel which really compliments the dress.
I kept my jewellery pretty minimal, just wearing this ring!
So anyway, then I was ready to go!
***About the awards/ceremony!***
So, I don't know if you guys know, but for the majority of last year me and three other girls ran a body confidence campaign as part of our Citizenship GCSE (to find more click here), which went completely insane, resulting in me and Alison being invited to appear on Radio 4's Woman's Hour to talk about the campaign, as well as many other local radio stations and other things. We managed to organise a "Body Confidence Day" at our local shopping centre, where over 100 Year 9 girls came and took part in fun, accessible workshops aimed to improve their body confidence, and to teach them to stop worrying about their appearance. Brands such as Topshop, Fenwicks and Trade Secret got involved, and it such an amazing and rewarding day. Anyway, we were nominated by our school for a Community Pride award, which aims to celebrate inspiration things people from North Yorkshire do. We were honestly amazed and flattered just to be nominated, so try to imagine our delight when we found out we'd become finalists! We were invited to an extremely posh event at York Racecourse, and were over the moon when we found out we'd won!
I've uploaded some pictures to instagram so do check them out!
See you soon,
Molly xx
